Jaguar only produced limited number of Flat floor fixed head examples with this very one believed to be 100th Jaguar E-Type FHC.

Manufactured 12th December 1961 original RHD FHC finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with dark Blue interior.

Today finished in Red with Tan interior – Biscuit carpets, correct Series 1 seats trims original panel instruments, showing 36,825 miles, Straight 6 3.8 ltr engine with triple SU carburettors, 4 speed manual gearbox, chrome body fittings with wire wheels, Series 1 stainless exhaust.

Gerald Barton, owner of the Humber Oil Company (later Humbrol Paints) took delivery of an Opalescent Silver Blue Fixed Head Coupe, engine number R3145-9 and the Chassis number 860100 making this a correct “matching numbers” Jaguar, Heritage records for right-hand drive, fixed head coupes began at 860001 and ended in 1964 at 861799 so we believe this to be 100th Fix head coupe built with the very rare “flat floor”, on file Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming spec dates built and delivered.

History outline

In the early 2000’s Jaguar E-Type underwent repaint to Red with new trim.

Importantly engine & gearbox rebuilt, Hutson Motor company carried extensive amount if this work as well as other specialist companies.

Good level of history including several MOT’s / services / bills – invoices / drivers hand book, 4 former owners, MOT April 2019.

Today this beautiful E Type starts on the button with A gracious sound from stainless twin exhaust, driven and enjoyed however cosmetically tied with signs of dents nocks and general wear and tear to bodywork, no concours winner!

However this should not be over looked as structurally solid with no obvious signs of rust – mechanically starts and drives very well in fact a very useable car if given clean bill of health first.
