Now a firm event in the classic car diary, the AC Owners Club Goodwood Sprint is back this weekend, on Saturday 7th November.
The AC Owners Club Clubman’s Sprint takes place on the glorious Goodwood Motor Circuit and continues in the format of previous years, with a host of AC and non-AC classes competing under MSA Sprint rules and regulations.
Amongst the Aces, Cobras and other early AC Models you can expect to see Aston Martins, Loutuses, and even the odd historic formula racing car.
For anyone interested in coming along to watch, please do! Entry is free and you will have full access to the paddock and circuit where you are free to look over the array of beautiful classic cars and chat with the competitors.
This will include the official Redline entry, which will be driven by our very own Redline founder Neil Fisher.
Neil will be driving a 1989 Mk4 AC Cobra. Recognized and listed in Shelby American World Registry and quoted, completed 88, Green/Green interior, 302, the car offers a fantastic V8 bark from 5.0 ltr factory fitted SVO engine. One to watch, especially with AC expert and enthusiast Neil at the wheel.
Neil and the car, which is available for sale with authentic upgrades after the event, will be happy to chat to you in the paddock before and after race time. Whether you just want to talk classic cars, have restoration work in mind, or are interested in buying the original Cobra that you can watch in action on the track, he’ll look forward to meeting you.
People start gathering from around 8am onwards and festivities tend to wrap up at around 4.30 following the prize ceremony. You do not need to be an AC Owners Club member to attend, bring friends and family too, and enjoy a glorious Goodwood day out.
