We are racing into 2021 with a news special, looking back at some of our racing highlights from 2020 and very much looking forward to what 2021 has in store for us.
From our classic car race preparation expertise to taking the actual driving seat on track, racing is a huge passion of ours at Redline. We love being part of the annual classic car racing circuit where it is also always an absolute pleasure meeting past, current and new customers as we lap up the track side action. We are staying positive here at Redline and hoping race events will return in 2021 and we can all look forward to enjoying more classic car racing this year.
A WET BUT FUN RACE DAY AT THE AC OWNERS CLUB SPRINT
Neil relished the opportunity to be a part of the AC Owners Club Sprint that was held at Goodwood in October last year. We had the perfect AC Cobra MkIV in stock and at our disposal for a fun day out which was much needed after all the challenges of 2020. It was lovely to be part of this annual AC Owners Club meet and spend time with long-standing clients and friends.
It was a wet day on the track, which we would love to blame on the slightly poor performance, however our AC Cobra caught the attention of the Cobra fans and was soon sold to a new owner. We are definitely planning to return to Goodwood and hope to see this AC back in the Sprint later this year.
TIME TO SAY GOODBYE TO OUR AUSTIN HEALEY SEBRING SPRITE RACE CAR
Another great car successfully raced by Neil over recent seasons has been our little pocket rocket Austin Healey Sebring. Impressively raced in the Equipe Pre 63 Series since 2018 and race developed further by our expert engineering team, it has become a front running car over the last few seasons with countless class and championship wins.
This ready for action racing classic is now for sale. Fast, reliable and a huge amount of fun to drive, could it be the prefect race car for you to enjoy out on the track this year?
INTRODUCING OUR NEW 2021 RACE CAR – A 1965 FIA PULL HANDLE MGB
Taking the place of our Austin Healy we are delighted to welcome our new Redline race car for the 2021 season which we are busy preparing to enter into the Equipe Classic GTS Class and other notable classic races including the FIA Masters, Silverstone Classic and Spa Summer Classic – keeping everything crossed these events will still be able to go ahead in some form this year.
We bought this car from an existing client last year who approached us to help him sell the car, however we were so impressed with it we decided to snap it up to add to our own racing credentials.
Pre-season work is underway as we dismantle the car and leave no stone unturned to ensure it is in peak performance for its first track outing with Neil behind the wheel.
Neil will also be making an appearance as a co-driver in an impressive V8 Shelby Mustang in the Equipe Libra Series.
SUPPORTING YOUNG RACING TALENT
We were delighted to get behind young British racing talent in 2020 as we sponsored up and coming racing driver Will Vincent after he earned his place racing for Elite Motor Sport in the 2020 Ginette Junior Championships.
Will enjoyed a great first season finishing a respectable 12th in the overall championship table out of 23 drivers, including a podium position at Silverstone, and helped Elite Motor Sport secure 2nd place in the overall team results.
Hoping to continue to excel in the 2021 Championships Will is currently on the look-out for additional sponsors to help make that dream a reality after a sporting season hit by the financial challenges of Covid.
